Mr. Brown founded B&C Associates, Inc., a public relations and crisis management firm, in 1960 and served as president and CEO until 1968 when he took a leave of absence from the company to serve as special assistant to President Richard Nixon. He returned as chairman and CEO of the company in 1973. Mr. Brown has been recognized with numerous national achievement awards, including the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans Award and the Small Business Administration's Lifetime Achievement Award.
