Dr. Murphy is the chairman and founder of AlphaMed Consulting, a corporation that provides strategic support to cancer centers, advocacy groups, and the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He established the Hipple Cancer Research Center in Dayton, Ohio, where he served as president and CEO from 1985-1999. He is the executive editor of The Oncologist, a peer-reviewed medical journal seeking to help physicians better manage their practices in a changing and challenging environment. Dr. Murphy is a member of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer.
