Jose Deetjen, a native of Cuba, began his law career with Walt Disney Productions where he rose to vice president of tax counsel. He retired from that position in 1988 and became the technical director for the law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a consultant to Universal Studios Florida. Mr. Deetjen was appointed by former President Ronald Reagan to serve on the Advisory Council on Voluntary Service and has served on the Los Angeles Hispanic chapters of the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
