Former Governor Bob Miller established the Ross Miller American Cancer Society Golf Tournament more than 25 years ago in honor of his father who died from cancer. Prior to serving as governor of the state of Nevada from 1989-1999, Governor Miller has served in several public offices, including lieutenant governor and district attorney for Clark County. Today he is active on the boards of several organizations, including America West Holdings, International Game Technology, Newmont Mining Corporation, Wynn Resorts, Limited, and Zenith National Insurance Corporation.
